Sega Saturn Logo.

I’m a HUGE fan of the Sega Saturn. It was well on it’s way to..

compete with Sony PlayStation and…. Right.. it failed. Fast.

The Sega Saturn has always had a place in my heart. Though a lot of games are absolutely awful for it, you have a handful of awesome games. I’v never played any of the Japanese Saturn games. I might venture out to that some day.

A few month back I brought out my collection of 70+ games and decided to play. never the less, it was an awesome time. Some games I just couldn’t believe they made. Like Virtual Casino. . Ugh. awful.

Anyway, I decided to work on a 2D logo for the Saturn, but figured it looked too bland. I decided to make a 3D logo. Using Blender. So I got to work.

I started out with a UV Sphere and added 128×128 verts to it. Grabbed a Path and from the top angle moved the line to fit the S

From the top it looks awesome!
This image from the side looks pretty cool too. It’s neat to see a different perspective of your creation vs what you’ve always known.

Time for printing! On the Elegoo Mars.
Exported to an STL and brought it into ChituBox 1.6.1.
Added supports and a hole for drainage.
Put it on the USB Stick, and off it went!

I was kinda nervous because I’ve never done a round object. Just one hole at the top to at the starting of the print, so I was worried the weight of the resin in the sphere would break off the build plate. But that didn’t happen! infact, it didn’t have any resin it the sphere at all!
After 5 hours….

😴

I think it came out perfect!
No blemishes or missing spots. The print held on nicely to the support!

It looks great! In this picture is has just gotten out of the IPA UltraSonic Bath.
Here it is from another angle.

After 45 minutes of curing in the UV light,
I was able to touch it bare handed.
This is it, finished!

That does it. I might make a shadow box for it, with a black light, looks awesome against the UV lights.
